Biography
| Upon completing my Forest Management degree at the University of Maine in 2002 my wife Kristen and I set out to find a place we could call home. Prior to meeting at college the two of us spent tons of time traveling and exploring around the country as individuals and didn’t leave many stones unturned. We finally settled in northern Idaho and bought our first home but after a couple of years we realized something was still missing. While the west was spectacular our families were still on the east coast. After some serious contemplating we decided to make the move back east. We were heart broken at first having to leave but when we began to consider the high peaks region of the Adirondacks our spirits were quickly lifted. I had spent many childhood summer days camping, hiking, and fishing in the area and knew how beautiful it was. Krissy also spent time in the region while she attended Paul Smith’s College. It turned out to be a great decision. Living in Jay only ten minutes from Whiteface my winter months are filled with no stop ski activities. Another perk is being only a short drive from Lake Placid and Keene which makes accessing the High Peaks incredibly easy. We are so very happy here and are looking forward to raising a family in the region in the near future. |

Since graduation I have worked as a private sector consulting forester in Maine, New York, Vermont, and throughout the inland northwest. I have much academic and professional experience appraising timber values, writing management plans, and implementing timber extractions for land owners.
