Onan 7.5 KW Propane Generator
2 thousand gallon propane tanks . In the winter when sunlight is shortest, the generator is run for about an hour and a half which runs a 36" TV, a 20" IMac, fax, printer, refrigerator, water pump, lights, and every few days, usually when the sun is shining, the dishwasher or a load of clothes will be run. The dryer heats with propane. Heat is coal stove primarily, but the propane furnace is handy. The location would support a wind generator but you would need a good sized tower as the house sits just below a ridge line.
The barn has a hay loft and chicken coop with a fenced area. A shaded run-in shed opens to roughly four acres of fenced pasture. Wildlife is abundant.
